Workers at British Energy are scheduled to take strike action on Monday 19 November, after voting overwhelmingly for action over pay. If the strike action goes ahead, it will hit Britain's biggest nuclear power producer.
British Energy workers are members of five unions-AEEU, GMB, Prospect, TGWU and UNISON-all voted for strike action. A GMB spokesperson said, 'In a high turnout of all the trade union members the message sent to British Energy is to meet the demands for a one-year pay deal with no strings attached and at the going rate in the industry.'
