The strike ballot of up to 10,000 BBC workers in the NUJ, Bectu and Unite unions was set to end on Wednesday of this week.
Workers were balloting over management’s plans for 2,500 job cuts and attacks on pensions and terms and conditions.

The unions were to meet after the ballot result to discuss the negotiations and what action to call.
Workers in the Unite union at the Port of Liverpool are balloting for strikes over the sacking of Brian Mottram, a coxswain.
Twenty three coxswains and able bodied seamen at Peel Ports Group are being balloted after the company failed to reinstate Mottram.

Tony McQuade, Unite’s senior regional industrial organiser, said, “There have been other instances of launches being grounded but none has led to a sacking.
“Unite is prepared to back Mr Mottram. We would urge Peel Ports to act consistently and reinstate him.”
The ballot closes on 4 February.
