Unions representing workers at BAA, which owns seven airports, are in the concluding stages of a consultative ballot on pay.
The Unite, PCS and Prospect unions have claimed 5 percent or £1,500, whichever is greater. The company has offered a lump sum payment of £450, only payable if certain targets are met.
If rejected a ballot for industrial action will follow.
