Nazi attack shows their true colours

Weyman Bennett, the joint secretary of Unite Against Fascism (UAF) has been attacked by thugs.

He told Socialist Worker that four white men jumped out of a car and struck him on the face on Friday evening. The men then drove off.

Weyman was not badly hurt. He told Socialist Worker that the attack on him was part of a campaign of intimidation against anti-racists and ethic minorities.

Another anti-racist campaigner was attacked on a UAF stall in east London on Saturday.

A thug targeted him after shouting racist abuse at a group of black women. Passers-by intervened and chased the racist away.

Weyman said, “This is part of their desperate tactics. But we will not be intimidated.”

UAF is asking all anti-racist campaigners to remain vigilant.
