More than 200 Virgin booking staff have announced three more strikes against ticket office closures.
The “rush hour strikes” are set for Friday of this week between 4pm and 7pm, 5am and 8.30am on Monday 25 January, and again between 4pm and 7pm on Friday 4 February.
The strikes, by TSSA union members, will hit London Euston, Coventry, Stafford, Crewe, Preston, Penrith and Glasgow stations, among others.
Workers are angry about the planned introduction of new ticket machines in booking offices. The union says that they will lead to more windows being closed and passengers being forced to use more expensive station ticket machines.
