No release at Glen Dimplex

The 380 members of the Community Union based at pressure cooker manufacturer Glen Dimplex in Prescot, Merseyside, continued their industrial action this week.

The union is threatening legal action over management docking a whole day’s pay in response to a legal two-hour strike, and for bringing in agency workers to strike break.

Workers are taking action over the refusal by management to make the final payment of a three-year pay deal. They are holding a number of two-hour strikes and have begun an overtime ban which they are enforcing with picketing.
