Corus steel worker Thomas Standerline was crushed and killed by an overhead crane, the Unite union has revealed.
Thomas, 26, was an electrician from Burton-upon-Stather who died while on maintenance duty at Corus’ plant in Scunthorpe.
Unite said he was working on a high-level access platform, when he was trapped by an overhead crane.
The union released the details to highlight the safety issues. A Health and Safety Executive investigation continues.
