Drivers on Arriva Trains Wales have had their strike set for Friday of this week called off.
Their bosses had said that they may launch an attempt to get an injunction against the action.
Their RMT union called off the action after receiving legal advice.
The drivers struck solidly over pay and conditions on 27 December, which had a huge impact on services. The workers, who are among the lowest paid train drivers in the country, voted by 85 percent for strikes.
The union is demanding a 5.1 percent pay rise after workers rejected a two-year deal, which was effectively a pay cut with strings attached.
