Workers at bed workshop Blindcraft in Edinburgh have voted overwhelmingly to reject a proposal for a three-day week.
It would have meant reduced wages and only secured their future in the short term. It would also lower redundancy payouts.
The workshop gets a council subsidy for employing blind and disabled people. The council claimed that the cuts were the only alternative to withdrawing all funding from the plant.
Workers are demanding the Scottish government steps in.
