Unilever pensions betrayal protest

Some 200 workers from the Unilever factory in Leeds and sites across Britain lobbied the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting on Wednesday of last week.

Workers, members of the Usdaw and Unite unions, are angry that the company has broken a promise to protect staff pensions. Last year Unilever made profits of more than £5 billion, up 26 percent.
