Lobby against fire cuts in Scotland

Firefighters from across Scotland headed to Kirkcaldy on Tuesday of this week to lobby the Scottish government.

The firefighters’ FBU union organised the lobby against cuts and as part of the battle over pensions.

Fife brigade secretary Scott McCabe said, “We are calling on the government to act quickly to protect the service before irreparable damage is done in Fife.”

Even though fire services are devolved, Scotland will still be hit by Britain-wide budget cuts and pensions attacks.
