Journalists on all out strike in South Yorkshire have presented a petition of over 3,000 signatures supporting their cause to management.
The workers, employed by Johnston Press, are furious that management wants to axe 18 jobs and merge editorial responsibility for three newspapers out of the five run by the company in the area.
Disgracefully the editor of the South Yorkshire Times has been made redundant while on strike against the cuts plans. He accompanied his colleagues to hand over the petition.
The 25 journalists have been on strike since 15 July. They work at South Yorkshire Times, Doncaster Free Press, Selby Times and Epworth Bells.
