Newsquest journalists vote for strike ballot

Journalists at Newsquest North West have voted unanimously to begin a strike ballot against proposed redundancies.

The ballot was set to begin on Tuesday of this week. The journalists, in the NUJ union, are outraged that seven jobs would be lost from the already small teams at the Warrington Guardian, Sale and Altrincham Messenger and Northwich Guardian papers.
