A hospital that David Cameron vowed to save while in opposition is set to lose its A&E and maternity units.
Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield, north London, will be devastated by the cuts—which have seen massive local opposition.
Cameron visited Chase Farm before becoming prime minister. He insisted the cuts were “completely unjustifiable”.
He went on, “What I would say to Gordon Brown is, if you call an election on 1 November, we’ll stop the closure of services at this hospital on 2 November.”
He lied.
