Up to 80 electricians and supporters met in Manchester last Saturday. They elected a regional rank‑and-file committee .
An electrician said, “If trade unionists had respected all these silly laws in the past, there wouldn’t be a trade union movement.”
Another added “I’ve always believed in direct action. It’s the only thing these bastards understand.”
