NUT and NASUWT union members struck at Kingswinford School in Dudley on Tuesday of this week, against plans to turn the school into an academy.
Martin Lynch, joint divisional secretary of Dudley NUT, described the strike as “excellent” with between 50 and 60 people on picket lines.
“We had a brief rally at the gates and marched around the school before meeting to discuss the next steps,” he told Socialist Worker.
Workers in both unions voted to call more strikes if management doesn’t move. They have also called a parents’ meeting for the Monday after half term.
