BBC workers to ballot over cuts

All unions representing workers at the BBC are to ballot for strikes against huge cuts.

The attacks include 2,000 job losses and slashing programming.

The Bectu, NUJ and Unite unions were set to send out ballot papers on Friday of this week.

Voting in the ballot will close at 12 noon on Thursday 24 November.

Many activists inside the NUJ have asked the union to alter the balloting timetable to allow them to join the 30 November strikes.
