Journalists face sixth year of cuts

Journalists at the Argus newspaper in Brighton are facing a further round of redundancies.

Up to six jobs could go at the title, which has suffered redundancies annually for the past five years.

The title is owned by Newsquest.

The firm has bought up over 30 local newspapers and has systematically cut staff and costs.

Workers, members of the National Union of Journalists, have struck repeatedly against the attacks.
