A strike ballot at the BBC has entered its second week.
The ballot covers NUJ, Bectu and Unite unions—and yes votes could shut down the BBC.
NUJ members have passed a vote of no confidence to the corporation’s director general, Mark Thompson. He is presiding over millions of pounds worth of cuts. These will cut some 2,000 jobs, close local media stations and impact on content.
The ballot ends on 24 November.
