Teachers at Prince Henry’s Grammar School in Otley, Leeds, began a three-day strike on Tuesday of this week.
The action followed a two-day strike on Wednesday and Thursday of last week, and a strike on Thursday the week before. The NUT and NASUWT union members are fighting plans to turn the school into an academy by 1 December.
Parents and sixth formers joined strikers on their picket line. But the headteacher is refusing to delay the conversion date or to hold a ballot of parents.
Workers have ordered hundreds of badges and stickers reading, “I support the strike” that were produced in the run-up to the strikes on 30 November.
They want the headteacher to see the huge support for the strike everywhere.
