Around 800 food workers in the BFAWU union are balloting to strike over attacks on their terms and conditions at the Gunstones bakery in Sheffield.
Northern Foods bosses say they want to invest in new machinery—by taking money from workers. Some would lose up to 20 percent of their income.
But workers are prepared to fight back if the company doesn’t back down.
Voting was set to start on Friday of this week and run until 2 March.
