Some 430 admin workers at Kirklees council in West Yorkshire have voted to strike by 70 percent on a 45 percent turnout.
The strike is over council plans to reduce admin support across the council by half.
The Unison members agreed strike dates on Wednesday of next week and 12-14 June.
The union’s demands are for no compulsory redundancies or pay cuts and for the council to work within negotiated agreements.
