Around 1,200 PCS members working in the DVLA’s local office network were set to strike on Friday of this week for two hours from 3pm.
All 1,200 workers’ jobs are under threat, with all 49 offices under threat of closure.
Friday’s action follows an overwhelming vote for strikes across the Department for Transport against a number of attacks. Workers at DVLA local offices, enforcement and processing centres will be the first to take action in the Department for Transport programme of action.
