Over 20,000 bus workers at 21 London operators are balloting for industrial action over Olympic bonus payments.
Their Unite union is demanding a £500 bonus for bus workers in recognition of their increased workload over the Olympic period.
Ballot results are expected early next month.
Tilbury dockers walked out for the third time in a month last Sunday against new contracts that could lose them over £2,600 a year each in overtime payments.
The workers are members of the Unite union at the Port of Tilbury’s Enterprise Distribution Centre.
Elections have begun in the RMT transport union.
