Coastguard staff in the PCS union are holding lightning strikes throughout June.
Workers in the maritime and coastguard agency are fighting to save nine coastguard stations and over 140 jobs.
They struck across shifts on 8 and 9 June.
This is part of a month of action across the Department of Transport, where workers are facing threats of closures, privatisation and job cuts. Workers at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) held two hour strikes on 1 June and 8 June. This action has included 3,200 workers at the DVLA headquarters in Swansea as well as workers in offices facing closure.
Some 55,000 workers could strike in HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). Over 50 percent voted to strike, with more than 77 percent voting for industrial action short of a strike.
