Around 150 postal workers at the Christian Road delivery office in Preston, Lancashire, walked out unofficially on Thursday of last weekâand stayed out for four days.
They were furious when a worker was suspended following an argument with a manager. They demanded the manager be suspended too pending an investigation.
The workers returned to work on Tuesday of this week with the promise that the matter would be looked into. They have not ruled out further action.
It is the sixth unofficial walkout in Royal Mail this year over issues of discipline and pressure from management.
